Meet Dr. Jennings

My profession defines my life: I am, quite simply, an orthodontist.

As an orthodontist, I have the ability to make a lasting and positive change in each person’s life. By straightening teeth, I correct the individual’s bite and profile, and in doing so improve their oral health, boost their self-image, and give them a smile that’s filled with confidence.

Along the way, I get to enjoy time with amazing people and develop wonderful friendships that strengthen connections within the community.

I cannot imagine a more fulfilling profession!

Background and Experience

Growing up in Morgantown, I was drawn to dentistry as a career that would allow me to better myself while helping others lead healthier and happier lives.

I attended the University of Kentucky, where I received my Bachelor of Arts in education, and in 1997, my Doctorate of Dental Medicine. Following dental school, I completed the orthodontics program and a Master of Science at the University of Louisville in 1999.

Dental school, and my postdoctorate specialty studies and training in orthodontics, gave me a solid foundation in oral health and the mechanics of tooth movement. It also taught me about aesthetic considerations and how to design a treatment plan for lasting improvements in bite and function.

After I completed my orthodontic training, my family and I settled here in Henderson and I opened the doors of Jennings Orthodontics.

I am proud of my practice and especially my awesome staff. They are hardworking, independent minded, and customer service-oriented. Many of my staff members have been with me for years: They share my love for our patient family and a dedication to high-quality care and service.

Constant Learning

The orthodontic specialty, like all areas of healthcare, is constantly changing. Research leads to new approaches and materials, as well as technological innovations. Many of these new options have the potential to change the patient experience and improve outcomes.

I am committed to offering my patient family the most advanced, proven orthodontic care. In order to live up to this standard, I participate in every continuing opportunity possible.

In addition to activities with the Western Kentucky Orthodontic Study Club, I am a member of the:

• Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity
• Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Society

Through the study club and professional organizations, I keep abreast of the latest changes in orthodontics. I actively read refereed journals and attend lectures, seminars, and meetings.

Outside the Office

Suzette, my wife for more than 30 years, and I love living in Henderson and are proud to have raised our two children in this wonderful community. Jackson, our son, will graduate from the University of Alabama in May 2021 and enter the University of Kentucky Dental School in August. Our daughter Claudia will graduate from the University of Kentucky in December 2021 and hopes to start dental school in 2022!

I am a proud family man and really at my happiest when I’m with my loved ones. I love traveling with them, along with boating at Lake Barkley and playing tennis and golf.

As part of our community, I enjoy giving back and making this a better place for all. I currently serve as a commissioner on the Henderson City Water Board and am a member of the Independence Bank Community board.
